Honourable Justice Leiataualesa Daryl Clarke

Justice Leiataualesa Daryl Clarke was appointed to the District Court of Samoa in January 2016 and as a Justice of the Supreme Court in December 2016.
Prior to joining the Judiciary, Justice Clarke practised in both government and private practice for some 18 years in Australia and Samoa. Justice Clarke has a passion for continuing legal and judicial education and the important role of NGOs in small communities. He was President of the Samoa Cancer Society for many years, Vice President of the Samoa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Vice President of the Samoa International Cricket Association, member of the Samoa Law Society Council and a director of the Electric Power Corporation.
Justice Clarke is a graduate of the Australian National University and the University of Canberra holding qualifications in law, legal practice and arts. In 2022, he completed a Masters of Laws in Environmental Law from the University of Auckland. He also holds an Advanced Diploma in Business Management from the University of New England and is an accredited mediator
